The Audi e-tron is a luxury all-electric SUV from the German carmaker. It’s basically a gorgeous looking vehicle that follows the same design traits and interior design as their ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) siblings, the Audi Q5 and Q7. Last year, Audi sold the car in the United States for nine months, totaling some 5,369 e-tron sales, grabbing a 2.4% total of 224,111 Audi sales in 12 months. While these are definitely not Tesla numbers as far as the e-tron goes, this is still a solid start for the automaker.
The vehicle comes with a 402 hp / 300 kW electric motor powertrain with boost technology. In turn, the luxury electric SUV is capable of acceleration from 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in just 5.7 seconds. It will reach an electronically limited top speed of 200km/h (124mph) that’s designed to in an effort to preserve a usable all-electric range. Finally, the Audi e-tron will achieve a range of 328 kilometers (204 miles) – an EPA estimate. However, you can charge the e-tron to a capacity of about 86 kilometers (54 miles) with just a ten-minute fast charge, increasing the usability of the vehicle substantially. In addition to that, you needn’t worry about battery degradation as Audi offers an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty on all models.
