The Model X P100D comes with with a 100 kWh battery that provides the vehicle with enough power for its dual-motors to sprint from 0-60mph (0-97km/h) in just 2.9 seconds
Before Tesla released the Model X, when you wanted to get a seven-seat people hauler that came with any high-performance vibes, there weren’t many options available out there. Naturally, we’re not saying that the Model X will hit those twisty backroads or tough racetrack sections as for example a BMW i8 or the upcoming Roadster, but in sheer off the line performance and acceleration matters, the Model X is a tough thing to beat.
In a nutshell, the Model X is a full-size SUV (Sports Activity Vehicle), capable of carrying seven people across an estimated EPA range of 289 miles (465 kilometers). When you consider the high-performance P100D version, which comes with a 100 kWh battery that provides the vehicle with enough power for its dual-motors to sprint from 0-60mph (0-97km/h) in just 2.9 seconds, things get put into perspective.
Just to put things into perspective, the Ferrari 488 GTB or the Porsche 911 GT3 RS will do the sprint in the same amount of time. And we’re talking about a luxury vehicle that’s designed to efficiently & cleanly take seven passengers over long distances, not a purebred sports car – like the ones mentioned previously. In turn, that really gives you a hint at what the Model X is capable of. However, as this is a rather popular model from the electric car maker, plenty of owners are turning towards the aftermarket wheel industry for some modifications.
This particular Midnight Silver Tesla Model X comes from TAG Motorsports. This California based tuning powerhouse worked closely with HRE Wheels in order to create the utmost perfect set of wheels for this vehicle. This time, the tuner went with a set of HRE S209 wheels in Satin Black for their customer. The wheels are sized 22×10 in the front and 22×10 in the rear. In turn, the multispoke design and the large diameter wheel fill out those large Model X wheel arches perfectly, giving this vehicle an impressive and aggressive stance. In addition to that, the wheels are wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires.
